Patricia Ann Combest, 86, a long time resident of Olton, passed away Sunday, January 12th, after a long illness.
She was a dedicated, compassionate nurse who cared for patients in Olton and Hale Center hospitals for over 35 years. She enjoyed traveling and sightseeing and loved to dance. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. As her final commitment to the medical profession, she requested her body be donated to the Texas Tech Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Bun" Combest and a grandson, Dustin Crowder.
She is survived by her three sons, Michael Crowder and wife Shirley of San Angelo, Marty Crowder and wife Sylvia of Grand Prarie, and Mickey and wife Jan of Derby, Kansas, nine grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be scheduled at a later date. The family suggests memorials to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or St. Labre Indian School Tongue River Rd.
